Skeg worn

I need advice, i bought a 389se javelin with a 175 evinrude, my guess is the owner let the engine down when backing in and out of the ramp, skeg worn down considerable. Do you all like the skeg repair kits that is sold, i know to repair correct would be a new lower case. any help

A good prop shop can weld a new skeg on but the repair kits like Kielguard work great and look great too.
