Walmart lower the price of the 16GB to $97. Probably means the new ones are on the way soon.

I've got the Samsung Rugby - a mil. spec. phone that can withstand water or anything else you throw at it or drop it in. Definitely handy since I spend most of my free time on a boat or chest deep in a slough. Probably not a good data phone for those hardcore mobile emailers/facebookers, but more for those who use a cell phone as a cell phone. I got a refurb for $10.

Ya, my father in law, my son, and I all have iphones and they havent had any coverage issues at all at KY lake.......except sitting inside Cindy's at Kenlake Marina eatin brunch.......

I have always had ATT and always will. The only lake I dont get service at is the one I hate the most, Nolin!! I get service just about anywhere, including in the middle of the woods where I fell 25 feet out of my deer stand and knocked myself unconscious for 30 minutes to wake up covered in blood in the middle of the woods not knowing where the heck I was. Boy was I glad I had ATT that day to be able to call for help!

ATT def. doesn't work on Dale Hollow except in about 2 small areas. I've been happy with Sprint for the most part. It didn't work very well South of Paris though.

I have Verizon and the only time I loose service is when its turned off.

I have Verizon on my work blackberry.....when I go to one of my local lakes, I have to take it to have reception, AT&T doesnt get out there very well..... It's deeeeeep in the boonies!

What? 16g iPhone for $97? I just had to have mine replaced (well in the process.) My iPhone has crapped out so they're sending me a replacement. If they deem my old phone bad due to accidental damage they're gonna charge me $200 for the replacement. If it is not accidental damage it's free.

So I can just go get one of these from Wal-Mart throw my sim card in it and be done for $97? Or is it a deal where with ATT you have to get the phone from them?

We get a friggin huge discount on Sprint through work so i figured i'd give a Nextel phone a try and see how good of a signal it got on the lakes (Cause you know the walkie-talkie thingamabob is the most awesomest thing ever, EVER!&lt;--my Nephew's description )and borrowed my bro-in-law's phone. Went to Rough got over by the big island and checked it for a signal and BINGO got one and never looked at it again. I think that was the only time that phone got a signal anywhere or anytime that wasn't in a city or on the interstate. Went to Sprint and have never been without a signal anywhere I've been. I've tried AT&T and Bluegrass in the past and there places where I didn't get a signal, not with Sprint though.

i'm pretty sure it includes a new 2yr agreement, but I maybe wrong, most of those prices do though

Voice is okay around here but you can forget 3G coverage for an Iphone. The best that you can hope for is to jack somebody's WIFI.

Yeah, the 3g coverage sucks around here. Most bigger cities will have it, and it makes a world of difference for data and internet. Actually, I was at a training in hopkinsville and they had 3g coverage there. But I can make calls on 99% of Ky lake and barkely (except the very backs of bays on the LBL side.

I have been told that ATT is working on getting 3G in the Paducah area. I have to pack a AT&T phone for work. It doesnt like some of the lakes area, and you can forget about it around the Ballard refuge area. Guys at our duck lease were getting Verizon pay as you go phones to use during hunting season so they could have service.

I have had att for over 15 yrs and just switched from a samsung rugby to a 16g 3gs Iphone.....best phone ever made,,,,I went deep sea fishing saturday 30 minutes out in the ocean I was still on Facebook. Great coverage for everywhere I go. No complaints from me
