Powerhead replaced in 2003

Mounted on a 1997 Allison XB2003

What is the max rpm I should aim for when propping the boat?

Is there a rev limiter on this motor?

I have read that I need to check / change out the highspeed jet for #2. Is there a write up on how to do this? Are the jets marked so that I can pull another to see if it was already done? As well as how to check/change the drain plugs?

The lower unit ratio is 1.84?

5900 RPM

Yes 6700 RPM

Remove the drain plug from the carb then remove the HS orifice from 2 of the carbs, Increase by .002 sizes if it is a 67D then use a 69D. Once drain plugs are removed look for a raised edge on the end if it is smooth then they need to be repladed

No your ratio is 1.86:1

OK so I pulled the drain plugs, and they appear to be the right ones.

But how do you manage to get the jet out? I unscrewed it but I couldn't figure out how to get it out of the drain plug hole. So is there a trick or I am I just not doing it right
