Had a good day down there today, best 5 around 21 lbs. I had this 7lb 12 oz largemouth plus a 4lb 6 oz smallie, and 3 others to go with it. The fish really moved to the bushes midday today.

Thats what im hoping to hear. Gunna head down there next friday to get away for a day since this semester is over. Been watchin weather all week suppose to rain this weekend and clear off mid week. Hopefully the water will be up and we can have a good day flippin.

daniel, Had the spinning reels on the deck becuase that is what I was using. Big fish came on 3.5 inch green pumpkin black flake tube fished on a jig head. The jig head is a light wire xtra long shank hook. The extra long shank lets the hook come out of the bottom exposed. Was just popping tube and keeping it moving constantly. Fishing a tube on a jig head instead of texas rig gives the bait different action. Just dont fish it near the bushes like this
Great catch. I am going to be headed down to KY Lake later this spring/early summer to try it out for the first time, and i cant wait!

Get a good look at the calm water and sunny skies in the background. You won't see that Saturday.
