First time I have been on the lake since December and struggled a bit to start with the cold water. Ended up boating 8 out of 12 bites, all on 1/2 and 3/4 ounce football jigs, couldn't buy a bite on the fly but then the jig is my goto. Fished from Willow Grove to Lick Run with water temps 40-43 degrees. Bluebird day with no wind, no clouds, and temps in the 50's, not a stellar day for Smallies. All fish were caught on primary and secondary points in 20-40 foot of water with deeper water close by. The fish were pretty sluggish in the cold water but still fun to catch. Had one topside right at 21", one under, and the rest solid slots. Heard the chopper coming in time to grab the camera and put it on video, not the best quality but pretty cool anyway, have your speakers on too!
