Ok, I purchased a new battery late Summer or early fall of this year and it has gone bad already. This is my first adventure with batteries not lasting very long.
Can anyone recommend a battery with the correct cranking amps for an opti that is maintenance free?
I would say the one you have should be under warranty. Being said I think all Opti's require a 1000 CA battery.
Optima....have had mine for years and narry and issue.

Broke down and bought a 31 series optima cranking battery. This thing better last a long time for the price. What optima would you guys purchase for your trolling motor batteries? Once they go out I will purchase a optima if the cranking battery does well.
