2007-150 HP. Model 150DHLSUF Serial G-05175457 I not only have hesitation at 1200 rpm. to 2000 rpm. now the engine is surging around 3200 rpm. I can feel the engine speed up and watching the rpm gauge it races up a little above 3400 and settles back. Goes a bit and then surges again. Any ideas? I have put brand new indexed plugs in hoping this would help but it didn't .
A tech will have to diagnose your problem to see if it is a fuel starvation condition, something either electrical or ignition related, or if it is the boat just on the edge of planing off so it is "wallowing".
If yours was an early production model 2007, there is a bulletin about air holes to drill in the silencer and possibly a throttle cam change. See your dealer about these items.
