I tryed timing my motor but the mark moves around want stay still where you can read it accurately any ideas.

It sounds like it is not freezing the timing when you go into the timing screen in the software program. If it is freezing the timing then you most likely have a fuel flow problem, may need to have the injectors checked out.

What version of the Evinrude diagnostic software are you using for the timing procedure? You do know how the timing adjustment works on that motor, right?

Also be sure the timing light pickup is not near the other coils or ignition wires.
