    Good news/Bad news

The good news is that Doc and I won last night at patoka, the bad news, he broke a G Loomis rod(actually I broke it for him) and I must have bent my TM shaft because it will not turn for anything.

Is it cheaper to just replace the shaft or should I buy a used TM?

Was it pretty much the same thing? I bent the shaft back really hard and the head was stuck.

Mike there's a place in Mooresville, Indiana, about 25-30 miles SW of Indy. They do all kinds of service work on trolling motors, electronics, etc. Here's a link.

I used to use them a lot when I lived in Indiana. They do good work. You can ship things to them to be worked on. Probably there's a place closer to you though.

    Re: Good news/Bad news (catch5)

I hear ya Eason. I have unquestioned respect for your angling ability but that doesn't mean I'm laying down for ya either!!!

Glad to hear that you are still going to be able to do some fishing. Was worried after what I read in the lounge that you would be boatless and done with the club.

Now the rest of the story: When asked at the ramp if we "tore em up" my response was yes we tore everything in the boat up!!! Seemed like we broke everything we touched Sat night. Best part is we had 4 keepers and needed a 5th with no trolling motor and 30 minutes to go. I told Mike I knew a big flat that we could drift and the wind would blow us over. We set out to drift and the next thing I know he has one hooked up and we end up with five. Sort of a nice turnaround to a night that was definitely hard on equipment.

    Re: Good news/Bad news (uk2thdoc)

Also, for the official record, Mike's Bluewater LED lights are sweet.

We used his Bluewater boat last night and that was the first time I actually saw them in person (hard to believe) and they are awesome. Mike will be installing some UK Blue ones in my Ranger in short order. I am also planning on getting his blacklights put in my rubrail. Having both sides of the boat lit up at once and not tripping over all the cords in the dark is the only way to go.

Doc, very good call on those flats! I really thought that was a toad when it hit. When we got it in and it measured so close I was sweating. I said, "If thats a bass thats a mule!" It wasn't

    Mike,

Check out A2O in Clarksville, IN on the trolling motor repair. Ask for Jeremy Case, the owner, tell him I sent you.
