Everyone still in?
Is the Indiana side sandpit/houseboat/party cove off limits. You know the one with the BIG No Trespassing signs ??
John N
Why is that sign even there? Seriously, does anyone know? Every year there is a bunch of people that say you aren't allowed to go in there and they won't let you in etc....but I've been in there almost every weekend the past 6 weeks and see the metro trolling around waving at all the drunk idiots tied up together.
What's the story behind that sign being placed there?
Matt, I know what you mean with the crowds in there. I don't know of anybody ever getting ran out or a ticket. Maybe just a liability thing for the owners.
Just curious -
John N
Like I said, I'm out there quite a bit during the summer on the weekend and have yet to meet anyone to say they've been asked to leave by the authorities. They troll around between all the other boats out there on the weekends and wave!

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe a few years ago there was quite a bit of barge traffic coming in and out - if they come in there with a barge and someone is anchored in the way, that could pose a problem because I don't think those things can stop on a dime and if there's any wind, it's herded around rather than driven!I think I've seen a barge in there maybe twice in the last two years - one last year when they dumped the big rocks near the mouth, and about two or three weeks ago during the last wednesday nighter we had.
I'm in for it.![]()
Stay out of the pit - there are no biting fish there !!! I have sore-mouthed them all the last 2 days.
Heard they were biting in the Kentucky River so I think you all need to run up there.
John N
Matt...you fishing?? JC.??
Who's coming?????
