My father has a Seahorse motor. Which no longer runs, but it still looks the same as first built.
What I'm trying to do is find someone who knows about really old machines, and that can possibly maybe fix the motor.
Let me know.

Welcome to the BBC.
We will need the model number to offer help with this motor, the number can be found, Depending on what year and model, on a metal tag in the front just above the screw clamps or on the left bracket that holds the motor to the boat.

Being an old SEAHORSE myself, I can relate to the motor.
Like the others said, a model number will tell us which year and hp you have and guide you towards getting it running again.
What color is it? The very early motors up thru the '40s were bare aluminum. The late '40's to mid-50's were green, the next three years, '56-'58, were reddish bronze and two-tone shades, and later ones were white.
