Catch them, when there are a billion shad, that they are busting on, all around your boat.
I got back from Fla this morning and decided to go to Ky lake this afternoon. There were fish busting everywhere in the backs of the bays. There were also so many shad that your line would be hitting them and lure hooking them all the time. I managed a few small bass and a couple nice rockfish. The good fish eluded me. I did see one big fish caught buy a guy in a Lund.


The biggest thing I caught was me. All the way to the bend in my left thumb. I was pretty sure I was going to be going to have it surgically removed, But the thought of having it stuck in my thumb for a couple more hours toughened me up and I pushed it on threw my thumb and cut off the barb.(Thank god for the tool I got a this years rally) Bled like crazy when I pulled it back out but I keep most of the blood out of the new carpet.

man roddy 1 trip out and stains in the new boat .... i was down all weekend and caught 10-12 fish with 5-6 keepers nothing big though best fish was a smallie caught on barkley ..... but yeah i think the fish are just gorging to death on shad ..... and the big ones are some where in between the ledges and back of bays ....lol
