I'm torn....fish KY Lake or beers and football all Saturday???

I'm making the trip to Murray for the weekend and I'm in a pickle.

Murray State Homecoming is this weekend, so that means the annual reunion with all of my Alpha Gamma Rho brothers. There will be stuff going on all day, mainly beer and football. I'm thinking about skipping all the daytime stuff to go fishing and then maybe make it to the bonfire that night.

My question to you guys: Is the fishing right now worth dragging my Ranger sled the 200 miles for a half day? I haven't been on Ky Lake since August Hoping to hear that the bite is on with the shad in the creeks....

Option 1: Watch the Murray State Racers try to win their 5 game in 3 years

Option 2: Fish KY lake and then drink beer around the bonfire and never have to witness the beating they will take on the field!

That's a tough one Scott...but I'd say pull the boat!!!

Yeah I know, we don't really watch the game, just tailgate, commit senseless acts of buffoonery, and then hop over to the bar once the game starts......but I've been there and done that all too many times - fishing certainly sounds like a better option, just don't know what in the world the fish are doing right now......

I fished last week under similiar weather that is forecasted this week and the fishing was sloooow. They were scattered and we caught allot of short fish. I was fishing with my 72 year old dad and anytime spent with him is good time but fishing was slow. Maybe they will turn on for you. We fished everything from ledges to pockets and everything in between. Just had to wait them out.
