Opinions Needed/Wanted

Narrowed it down to 3 places, Carter Caves SP (Smoky Valley Lake), Yatesville Lake SP (Pleasant Valley Ramp/Greenbrier Creek area), and Beech Creek Lake SP in WV to fish while home from VA over the holiday weekend. Which sounds better for a holiday weekend fishing trip factoring in parking at the ramp, boat traffic on the water, and operating a 16' electric only boat. I know Carter Caves (36 acres) is about 1 hour from the house with Yatesville (2200 acres) and Beech Fork Lake SP (720 acres) in WV about 1 1/2 hours. Normally deciding where to go would not be a problem, but since my fishing is done in VA I know the lay of the land and such with parking, boat traffic, and where I can safely operate a 16' electric only boat and the like over a major holiday weekend.

there shouldn't be any opinions...you will catch peckers all day at the smaller lakes..go to yatesville throw a jig..ill give u more info in an IM.

I'm not familiar with those lakes but I have caught more fish and more bigger fish on small lakes in general then I have on bigger reservoirs. In my area there are strip pits and several lakes that supply the water for some smaller communities. The latter have been particularly good to me in years past. I would think you would have some of those in your area as well.
