Good luck down there! That sure is a nice fishery! I'd say that rat-l-trap will be the ticket around the grass!

Well we made it home . We had a great trip and wonderful weather, but the fish were a little slower than usual. We had air temps in the high 60's low 70's and water did reach low 60's. It was 100% prespawn, I couldn't find a bed to save my life. Between the 2 boats we averaged 30 fish a day with most being in the 3 pound range with an occasional 5 pounder and and the big fish of the trip was an 8 pounder. Rattle traps accounted for 80% of the catch . I got to fish my Lucky Strike swimbaits for the first time and they did not dissapoint, fish destroyed them, I was throwing the 4.5 inch, it was an eyeopener to see how the fish ate the swimbait. I think the next three weeks at Guntersville will be Hotter than a two dollar pistol with monster fish moving into super shallow waters. If anybody has ever wanted to try out Guntersville now is the time, oh and by the way work is slow for the next couple of weeks so if anybody needs a fellow BBCer to show em around let me know ....You buy I fly ......Jarrod
