    Barkley March 1st tournament results

As I had predicted the tournament was very tough. We had 19 boats and I think only 5 of them weighed in. 1st place was two little fish weighing 4lb 12oz. Big bass and 2nd place was a tie, 4lb 11oz. Trent and I had two short fish all day. Water temp in the bays started at 43.5 and the river at 48, by 3PM we had 47 in the bays and 50-53 in some bays and places on the river. If I was fishing the Mar 8th weekend series out of Barkley Lodge I would run full throttle to KY lake.

it wasn't really that bad, we found one spot that was really dirty. the fish just weren't biting. I really do prefer to fish ky lake in the winter over barkley. and, i do thing that water clarity has a lot to do with it.

with as much rain as we're going to get this week, barkley will look like a mocha latte this weekend.
