Anyone have info on Barren, been a while Since I was there.
Fish were getting shallow before that last cold front that hit the day of the BFL, there were some deep and shallow fish, the fish that were shallow before it hit went extrememly shallow and the ones that were getting ready to come in pulled back out. Haven't heard anything since then but I would bet my last dollar you could get on a shallow bite by the weekend if the weather cools. The grass is the deal.

I had a friend who fished in a club tourney there last weekend and he said they were catching fish shallow up until 11 or so and even then they only pulled back to about 10 ft. Any grass they could find in smaller cuts near the channel that had 2 ft of water was holding fish. I guess that's the grass that had time to grow before the water got up? hope that helps.
grass in the mornings, (main lake grass pockets) and brush afternoon. take the big stick, most were in the thick of it. lots of fun
