    BBC Farmers/Fishermen

Would there happen to be any fellow BBC guys out there with a cornfield near Louisville that might allow a fellow BBC guy to sit in the middle of it in hopes of harvesting a dove or two in September? I'd be willing to help out with a chore or two in exchange...or maybe do a little fishing trip or something like that

Really?! I hope your deck isn't downtown...that could be a problem with the whole "city limits" thing...been there done that!

I'm just outside of Paris, 20 miles south of Murray. My corn is late corn and won't be ready to shell before the season opens. But I do have some hunting lease ground that will probably be shelled in a week or so hopefully. I will try to find out when they plan on shelling and send you an IM with some details. I'll get back with you as soon as I find something out.

I knew a lot of people around Murray started this week...found that out in an unfortunate way...a young man/student at Murray State was working on a corn header Monday when it fell on him...I always hate to hear of things like that...I think he was a sophomore.

A few are starting to shell here this week. I just don't know if they will get to my lease ground by opening day or not. Even if they don't, my ponds on my cow pastures are covered up with dove. We have not had rain any measurable rain in two months, so they are looking for water.

You can never preach farm safety enough. I catch myself doing things I know better than do. Know several people that have lost limbs and a couple that have been killed on farms. Alot of people don't realize how dangerous it can be.
