    Trailer Tire - New Development

I took these over the winter and forgot to post about it.
She got pregant on me while sitting in the drivein December, glad It happened at home and not on the road. Got these Carlisle's from Big-O a couple years back for around 100 bucks each 7 ply Load Range C. Big O wouldn't honor anything. Contacted Carlisle and the girl in warrantee claims asked me to describe it, give Trailer weight ratings etc, then she said she'd send me a new tire. I said, is it possible that a previous blow-out that occurred could have been due to a similar defect? was there a manufacturing problem or something? she said.... "I'll send you two tires". Did so and I really was pleased, but many would be leary of tires that aren't reliable....I still have that extra tire in garage.

Re: Trailer Tire - New Development (DaveR)

My cousin had similar issues with the tires on his travel trailer after having it about 6 months. He called the dealer he bought it from and the guy told him that they had an a$$ load of tires with the same problem, gave him the number to Carlisle one phone call and he had new ones in the mail. Sounds like a mass defect but they are not recalling anything

I had that happen to a tire on one of my older boat trailers. I was at Brookville lake getting read to get into the truck to go get my boat when I noticed it!
