The Reel Doctor on Bardstown Road, in the back of Bull Frog Creek replaced an eye for me last year. Did a fine job and was very reasonable.
Good Luck!![]()
John is right, haven't had any rod work done yet but they currently have four of our reels right now getting cleaned up for the season. Great guy to deal with!
I didn't know he fixed rods too. Now if I can figure out a way to get to him. Now if I can get to him with the wierd hours he works. Can you leave your stuff when he isn't there?
OK I got a number for someone off of another unamed site about rod repair. His name is Tim Tipton, He is in louisville. This guy does cheap work and must be pretty good because he does all of BPS's, Smyrna bait & tackle, and Dick's work too. $7 for an eye, is it me or is that just cheap as hell? He also repairs broken rods and swears that it doesn't lose it's sensitivity. I'm going to find out.I've got his number here if anyone wants it.
David, send me that number and I'll put it in my fishin file. Thanks

$7.00 is a pretty good deal, not cheap but good. I have a guy that works on my stuff and he charges $10.00 for an eye. He's in Indy though so not much help for you, just a price check![]()
