They may very well do it on Ky Lake in about 8 weeks but the Jerk bait bite is on right now on Ky Lake, the smallies are mean and hungry before they go on the bed which is not to far off. Does he make a good looking football jig?

I fished a 150 boat tournament last week end and 11th place was like 20.20, we had 21.80 with two six pound smallis and came in fifth, it took 27.05 all smallies to win the 6 grand.
Jeff makes some great jigs. His football jigs are the real deal. I've caught some good fish off of them over the winter. 2nd cast with one of football jigs landed me a 5 lber on Nolin and I'm not the only one off of this board with a story like that. Everyone says he makes some great spinners and buzzbaits too although I haven't seen them personally.
jason, thanks for the kind words, I am really glad you liked them. To answer the question do they catch hogs? Absolutely, the biggest to date is a 13 pound 5 oz out of arizona. Thats going to be hard to beat in our neck of the woods. As far as the football goes on ky lake I have not fished it down there personally but I know the boys from missouri have been buying alot of them from me, so that should tell you something. I plan on sending dave some more to try down there maybe he will report how they work when that bite turns on. Once again thanks jason, look forward to your business in the future. My truck is in the shop this weekend so I won't be on the water at all. Thinking about going down to sportsmans paradise and seeing if the whites are moving up yet though. If they are I won't be able to move my arm by 2 PM.

david, The whites are moving we caught probably 10 in dog creek. If it was me I would forget the whites, we probably caught 70 bass yesterday down there. most of them 13 to 15 inches, it was unreal. Our biggest was about 3.5 but it was a ball. It would be a great time to take a kid down there and get them good and broke in. A #200 bandit did the trick for us. jeff
