I went yesterday afternoon to a spot I was sure they would be feeding on shad. Sure enough the bass were chasing and busting shad all over the back of the bay. I swear it looked like that stupid commercial on tv where the fish are jumping out of the water and the guy can't decide on a lure to tie on. I threw about everything I had to tie on in the boat and I caught 0 fish. Had 1 bite and I think I hit him on the head, since I didn't even get the reel engaged before he was gone. I threw top-waters, spinner-baits, chatterbait, shallow cranks, Rattletraps, flukes, and a senko. Lucas and I caught squat. I don't remember the last time I didn't catch a fish on this lake. I may take up live bait fishing.

I've got a tourney next weekend and for the first time I can remember, I really don't want to fish it. Especially with the other 950 tourney boats that will be on the lake next weekend.

Roddy personally if it was me that happened to...I would just say its another day fishing!!! Most of my days on the water are like that!!

Try long cast,,,,,1/8,,,,1/4,,,,, spinner baits,,,,,,chrome rattle traps,,,,same size,,,,bass in the fall hone in on small shad and refuse anything else,,,,also the pressure on the backs of creeks is huge due to Txs and practice for Txs.,,,,that is all they know,,,,being from out of town and that is what they do,,,,,,,it is funny when bass are busting all around you,,,,the front deck is covered with every lure you own and you can't get bit on anything,,,,,been there ,,,,done that,,
