Joe the oil bath hubs got replace after they leaked 2 times, and this is the second time the grease seals have leaked Just got done cleaning them up the brakes where just covered in grease...no wear to get a seal today, and am begining to really wonder about my dealer, or wondering if I have a bad axle.
http://<a href="http://www.bbcboards...et...21459</a> is a post I made in the Trailer board
Joe and yes had this problem sense I got the boat...boat has been great, but the trailer has been a pain in the rear end

I'd say you have a bad internal part, spindle, hub,or bearing race. For it to happen that many times you would think that a seal would seat at least one time and not leak ( they're not that hard to put in) . Sounds like your dealer needs to get you a new axel assy. Does the tire on that hub show any unusual wear?

Not that I can notice. One other thing, you said seals are not that hard to put in and I agree but funny thing is this one has a dent in it...so no wonder the dam thing is leaking But that is this time.

I've put lots of seals in different hubs and dented a few but never remember one leaking from it. I bet you have a deeper problem.

Joe; I whole heartily agree but can not get the dealer or the trailer Mfg. to see past the seals Especially when its the same dam wheel all the time

I get back from Ky lake, might have to make arrangements to take you fishing and we can change it out and you might see something I am missing

From what I have read quite a few people had problems with the oil bath hubs on the trailers for Tritons. You might do a search on the triton forums but I do remember several people aggrevated about it.
