BASS North Tour at Sandusky Bay Lake Erie

Recieved my confermation that I made it in as a non-boater. I live a little over an hour south of the launch and fish that part of Erie a ton throughout the year, so it should be interesting. I kicked myself in the butt for not fishing same tourney last year, I just could not justify the $600 or so entry they wanted last year.

Let us know how you do

I have always wanted to fish Erie. I hear all kinds of stories about the smallmouth there. Also here the weather can get on you pretty fast. Good luck

Lake Erie is an awesome fishery. But as you stated the weather can be extremely hazardous. You better either know what your doing or really trust the guy behind the wheel. My first major tourney on Erie in 2004 we were in solid 8 footers for over half the day . Then also again last year during the Everstart in Cleveland we ran 32 miles each way in 6-8's, it make for along day, but as long as you catch fish it is all good . If anyone is ever up this way and I am available we can meet up and go out. The other thing most people do not relize about Eris is it is also a great green fish lake in the harbor's and bays when you can not get out or the smallie bite is off.

You guys have brass balls as far as I am concerned. I saw 8 footers once in my life on KY Lake and I am in no hurry to do that again. I wish I had the foresight to break out the camera that day.

I personaly have never run in them when I was in control if it is that bad. When you are co-angler during the tourney you really have no choice except to stay at the dock, and you assume the guy can handle them. The second day of the Everstart I did get into it with my boater cause he was a idiot when come to running his boat. He did not know how to keep the boat from riding with the bow straight up in the air, I really don't think he knew what the trim switch was for.
