Arriving at the rally

I talked to Buck and here is the way it is going to work when you guys arrive. No matter what time you are getting there on Friday night, we will now you are coming.

We are all going to be in the mess hall doing whatever. Buck, do they have a TV in there? You guys can get some last minute trash talk out of the way in there if ya want.

The island has a truck that we can use to haul everyones stuff to there cabins. When someone is coming in a boat, you can hear them from the State Dock and we can see the lights. When we hear you pulling up to the dock we will come down in the truck to get you.

Again, bring any food you want to eat. If this all works out and we don't make the troopers mad (and I know we won't), next time maybe I can make us a meal. Just more of a mess to clean up this time.

Guys, bring some serious cold weather gear, just to be prepared. Also, make sure you are legal on the water. Bring a dry set of clothes with you and if the water is rough leave your pfd on.

Mike would it be ok to bring some spirits to keep us warm on Friday night while we continue the trash talk? Just want to make sure first.

Not exactly sure how many will be there on Friday night but I have cards and chips I could bring if anyone was interested.

I would be down with playing some cards. AJ and I should be heading down around 12:30 on Friday.

Okay...we have the truck at the island HOWEVER if it snows or ices down there we wont be able to use it due to the huge hill from the dock to the top of the island. Under these circumstances we will either be sliding into the water or wont be able to get up the hill....picture this..."Well Captain the Island's truck is in about 17 feet of water but I did manage to get the radio out before we slid into the water".

I have reserved all the "lodges" (<---dont expect too much...all have kitchens, showers, fridges, and TV's but they are pretty basic) but I am fairly sure we will have access to the dorm buildings too if we need them. Everything is heated.

Everybody bring sleeping bags, pillows and towels (if you are going to shower.)

We will have the kitchen which will be the place big enough for all of us to hang out, play cards and do whatever else you boys do on a cold night before Mike and Buck catch more fish than you the next day. (Last smack talk shot there .) I am not sure if there is a TV in the kitchen or not Mike...I feel confident that we wont need it due to pie hole smacking.

Bring extension cords to charge boats at the dock...there are enough plugs for all of us.

Houseboats are welcome too....beach on the left (sand) OR tie up on the outside of the dock towards the mainlake.

ONLY thing I am gonna ask guys and I will leave it at this (I know this goes un-said but since I have not met most of you face to face so I feel obligated).....there are a handful of people that they let use the island like this. (depends on how much free work you do for the island ) We need to leave the island JUST LIKE WE FOUND IT. If the truck goes in the water we will need to get it out.

There is a wood box on the dock too for extra cowlings. (joke daniel)

Looking forward to it guys...drive safe....lots of brown fish getting boated this weekend.

Jason and I will be leaving Jeffersonville between 4-5 pm. We will be there when we get there, but I'm guessing around 8 or so.
