Coming to Evansville for a couple Weeks

Hey IN/KY folks. I am coming to Evansville for two weeks and may try to go fishing with a co-worker on the days off. He's new to bass fishing - has a boat and limited gear. Wheres a good place to go around there, and are the green fishes on any particular pattern right now?

I keep hearing about big bags coming from West Boggs but I have never been there. One of these guys from Evansville should on here soon to talk about it

Yes they are in there if you can find them. It took over 21 pounds to win on Sunday.We could only come up with 3 keeper that weigh 9.30, we tied for 5th
Had 27 boats in tourney. From Evansville it will take about an hour an a half to get there.9 dollars to get in with a boat. If I had a choice from eville I think i would go to ky lake or barkley you can be there with in 2hrs. Maybe call Dave Stewart and see if he has any opening when your around.

I will be up next weekend, and staying through 10/3. Right now we are in a slump here, the fish are all suspended waitng for the fall patterns to start, I didn't know if it was the same over that-a way or not. No tx or anything, just looking to put this kid on some fish.

I know he has been fishing the river, and one of the lakes there sith little success. His g'friend has caught a few Bass, but he has yet to christen his own boat (fish wise anyway ).

Thanks agin for the info, BTW I usually stay at the Baymont inn in Evansville (METH lab a few years ago) and eat at applebees across the street, so if you see an ugly guy talkin to Dustin at the bar drinkin' Coors light come say hi

Your only about an hour from Patoka which is a very good lake, but I am with Kenny on this one!! You are only about 2 hours from Kentucky Lake & Barkley. (Two lakes on 2 different rivers joined by a canal you can run through) They are truly 2 of the premier bass lakes in the country. I would check with Dave Stewart as well and see if he could go out for a day with you. It would be a shame to come that far and NOT drive 2 hours or so to fish on those lakes!!

Thanks again guys, I got here last night, and it looks like I am going to be sittin in the box (hotel) all weekend. My co-worker is working all weekend, and I have not been able to talk him into lending me his boat and gear. Unfourtunatly, I can't take my rental car to go anywhere for the whole day because it needs to be available for another guy who is sitting in the box. If any of you guys are close to the Baymont and need a backseater with no gear this weekend give me a call. I'll pick up a license on the way. 804-337-1398.
