question for Lyn Dyer re: protruding gold hub piston

I noticed that one of the pistons on my tandem axle trailer protrudes more than the others. It's the passenger-side and has a brake. It's full of oil and no evidence of leakage. It sticks out further all the time, even when trailer has set overnight. It doesn't get hot. The other 3 are factory-installed (it's a 07 Champion) but this one was replaced by dealer last fall when repairs were made after a blow tire. And could have been that way for 6 months and I'm just now noticing. Hasn't caused any problems but don't want any either. Thanks.

You can remove the plug with a 3/16 allen wrench adn wick some out or just push the piston in gently until it's almost flush. Tighten the plug to 10 ft lbs.
