I have a 97 Skeeter 185 ZXCD with matching trailer... and if I keep it (looking to sell it) I am going to replace the bunk boards. Anybody have any ideas on what to replace them with? I have seen the ultimate bunk boards but I have heard they scratch fiberglass hulls. Any alternatives other than the traditional wood and carpet?

Just out of curiosity, why not carpet and wooden boards? It's a pretty well proven system.

I'll second the wood and carpet. I just redid my bunk boards this summer and they turned out great.
I made them at home - then when we went to Lake Chautauqua for our yearly fishing trip in june, I took them along. the boat sits in the water all week - which gave me the perfect opportunity to slap the bunk boards on.

The boat I purchased last spring is on a Magic Tilt trailer that uses these (link below) on their bunks. It's basically a "C" shaped vinyl cover for the wood that staples to the wood just like carpet. Seems to hold no water or not as much as carpet would. Been real pleased so far.
