    Kuhmo Trailer Tires

I need to replace my tires on a Tr-196 trailer (single axle). The Kumho tires have a load rating of 2271 pounds vs. Marathons that are rated at 1870 pounds. Any opinions on the Kumho's or stay with the Marathons? I've got a lot of weight sitting on two tires. The Kuhmos are 205's and the Marathons are 215's.

    Re: Kuhmo Trailer Tires (Tr176)

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Khumo makes the only load range D tires in 14" I've seen. Ends up being rated at about 500 pounds per tire more over Marathons.

The posts on Khumo's I've seen in some of the salt water and RV forums are all good.

Did you guys buy the Kuhmo tires yet? I was looking into them on Tire Rack. No bad reviews like the Marathons. Let me know. Thanks

    Re: Kuhmo Trailer Tires (Tr176)

I had a set of 4 larger ones on my old stock trailer. Hauled a lot of weight a lot of miles with zero problems.

No, as usual an unplanned purchase took precidence. Washer flaked out (damn near caught fire). So $1000 later we have a new one. Tire had to wait till another payday I guess. Good thing I have two boats with only one down for tires
