I want to raise my trailer up to relieve the pressure on my tires during the winter. What is the best way to do this? and where should I position the jack stands. It is for a Ranger Z521.
Thanks,
Tom

I would go fore and aft of the axles. If you expect to do any walking around in the boat checking the batteries, etc.... I would spread the jack stands out even further from the axles. Wider spread makes a more stable platform.
If you do walk around while up on stands, keep in mind you no longer have any shock dampening from the springs as the frame is now directly transferring the weight to the ground through the stands, totally bypassing the springs. Should not be a huge issue, just don't do any jumping around.![]()
Waste of time. Tires don't deform like they used to.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,

Yup think how long some cars sit on Lots!!!
Yeah, radial tires don't really have this problem. The worst I've even seen was they could ride a little rough for the first few miles if really cold. Bias Ply is a different story and I'd probably take the load off of them if sitting for extended periods in cold temps.
