installing flush mount lites on a trailer

I am considering installing flush mount backup lites on my trailer. what would be the best way to drill/cut either a pair of 3" or 2x6 oval holes???

    Greg:

I am doing the same thing, installing LED flush mount with rubbber gromets. A friend has a plasma cutter so he is doing mine. The plasma cutter makes a nice smooth cut.

Greg, it didn't hurt my paint at all, the plasma cutter doesn't get as hot as a torch. Will try to get you some photos in a day or two.

Plasma torches get WAY hotten than an oxy-fuel torch. A plasma gets up to 45K degrees, but it is very localized and directed.

A plasma would be the easiest/cleanest way to do it if you can get your hands on one.
