I have a nitro trailer for my 884 savage nitro, 1997 model. Do anyone know what size bearings it has? I would really like to have to them before I tear into them so I only get grease all over me one![]()

Measure across the diameter of the protector in the center of your hub. You most likely have a grease protector with the blue inner piston. If the diameter measures just under 2" across, and the trailer or axle rating is more than 2500 lbs, it will take the L68149 inner bearing with the L68110 race. The outer bearing will be L44649 with the L44610 race. These were standard on all 5 lug tapered spindle axles. I don't recall Marine Group ever taking a 4200 lb axle but if they did, the protector on the outside will measure 2 3/8" across, indicating a straight spindle using the inner bearings listed above, as both inner and outer bearings.
