    trailer jack weight rating

I searched around and didn't find much info on this. How do I determine what weight rating I need for a trailer jack? I've found some great deals on some 800-1000 lbs. jacks but not too sure if they'll be enough for my 186 trailer. My gross weight is approx 2200-2300 lbs.

Any ideas on what to aim for without going down to the weigh station?

800-1000lbs is plenty. You are only holding the tongue weight, which is less than half that.
