2008 150H.O looses power for a few seconds

I'm hoping some of you smart guys can help me before I take my boat to the dealer. On hot days (90+) after I make a run and fish for a while, engine will start right up, but after getting up to 5300-5400RPM engine acts like it's starving for fuel. RPM will decrease to 2500-3500, engine spits and sputters for a few seconds then takes off again. If I'm just out fun fishing I will cruise around at 3500RPM to save fuel, but the same thing happens, RPM decrease, spit and sputter for a few seconds then back to 3500RPM. This only happens on hot days. I changed the fuel primer bulb and checked for leaks, but it's still doing it. I've used stabil marine formula from day one. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That sounds like a fuel delivery issue. Follow the service manual about how to check for fuel restrictions in the boat using a vacuum gauge and a clear piece of fuel line to check for bubbles from air leaks. Also use pressure gauges to monitor both fuel pumps' outputs while the motor acts up.
