This is a home made trailer. No matter what I do, the right hub will not seal up and keep from leaking grease out of the back seal. This is with double lipped seals. Any suggestions?

Do you mean that you have put new seals on it and it still leaks? If so you either have a bad spindle, or you are trying to put to much grease in the hub.

yes, new seals. I pump up the bearing buddy until the piston is full, and let it bleed off. It stayed perfectly filled for 3 days while it was sitting, but after 10 miles of driving, there was no pressure left in the bearing buddy. It had come out the rear seal.

Maybe you had too much grease pumped in and was OK sitting but when it warmed up while you were going down the road the seal blew out.
Just guessing here.
I found that when I reinstalled the seal, that I tapped it in past the outside of the hub. Could this be the cause?

It is possible if you tapped the seal deep enough so that it was not riding on the proper area of the spindle.
