    Grease question

    Hi all,

I recently purchased another boat and I am planning on bringing it on a 300 mile trip. The seals seems to be fine and it has bearing buddies. I have heard that you should not mix different bearing greases and I do not know what kind the guy used before me.

What would you do? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Re: Grease question (Javelin409)

Mixed grease is better that no grease. I personally don't think it matters and have not ever had an issue mixing different grease. I have had issues with NOT greasing. Just add grease until the bearing buddy just starts to pust out, too much and it will squeez out the rear seal and sling all over the back of the rim.

I agree be careful with bearing buddies....just add a little.
    I blew my seals twice.
