I always run mine to the rev limiter, 6700, but 6000 should be a good wot rpm. those 2.7L v6s like reving
How bad is it on gas? I'm used to a 200xs it was great I know this one won't get half of what it got. My xp got 6 one barrel carbs on it. I'm hoping it's a lil better than mercs pro max.

If you are talking about a ProXS vs a carbed anything, don't count on it.
I'm talking about the promax that mercury has it sucks gas bad almost one mile to the gallon at 6000 rpm the proxs I have expierence with got awesome fuel economy.
You will get a little better than 1 MPG with the 200 XP. Not much but in the 3-4 GPH range.
Depends on boat, allison or bullet with the right prop, 2 or 3 mpg.
