Hi:
I posted the below message of the Triton Board and several members told me to post it here for Lyn Dyer. Some also suggested the problem could be a) the cap seal leaking (one member said Lyn sent him a new one), or b) the screws behind the hub . . . . Any help would be appreciated!
I have a 2004 TR-19X with a Marine Master trailer with oil bath hubs. I have had not prior problems with the trailer. In fact, in November, I towed it to Florida and back (I'm in NJ).
At the end of November, I winterized the engine and stored the boat for the winter (in my driveway). A week or so after, I noticed a small amount of oil leaking from the right hub. I wiped it away and it reappeared a few days later. It has continued. It is a very small amount that is leaking.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I assume it's some type of seal, but I am not too familiar with these hubs (or very mechanically inclined for that matter!). Also, any ideas as to how to fix it, or where to gave it fixed??
