    Got a fuel prob!

I have a 89' 200 johnson gt. I pump my bulb on the fuel line it gets tight, then i fire my motor, adn it will run all the fuel out of the line and die. the bulb obviously becomes loose. I changed the bulb but that didn't help any ideas? Also if i keep someone back there pumping the bulb it gets on plane and runs just fine.

    3 possibilities:

Weak faulty fuel pump can't keep up with engine
    or
partial obstruction and blockage in fuel supply somewhere
    or
small hole/defect in a fuel line is allowing air to be sucked into fuel stream

Auto parts store will have a fuel vacuum gauge that will quickly tell you which one is cause of your problem.

Most likely its a weak /worn fuel pump since manually pumping the bulb keeps up.

whats a fuel pump cost? Also i have a buddy that had the same prob that had to have his carbs rebuilt to fix the problem. Should i run 2+4 cleaner through the fuel or just spray carb cleaner in my carberator
