Some people are so judgemental. You can tell just by looking at 'em.--Some random meme
sounds a little off to me, unless you like your meat squeaky clean![]()
Never heard of it either. I think it would have an offensive smell.
Thanks, I thought it would smell bad to. The guy thet told me about it said the deer have eaten several stumps out of the ground ovet the years. Don't think I'll try it.
Never heard of clorox. An old timer told my dad that cinnamon, rock salt and water mixed up and poured on stumps would attract deer. With there being no stumps around my dad dug some holes and put cut up pine in about two foot lenghts in them and poured the mix on them about two to three weeks later the deer had literlally eaten the tops of them off and dug them up to get more.

now where did you hear this from ? youre 'hunting buddy " ???![]()
ive heard of pouring a lot of different stuff on a stump to attract deer....but never clorox......
I had heard that a while back and the explanation I was given when I questioned them was there is a ton of salt in clorox. I would never try it the smell is just way too strong for me.

The cinnamon makes sense...I keep cinnamon hard candy in my fanny pack and have had some close encounters with critters in several locales. I have used molasses to attract deer to my feeders in off season in the past. My theory is simple: the smaller critters, squirrels, raccoons, etc. get the molasses on their paws, track it through the woods and the deer follow it to the feeder. A trapper in Manitoba tipped me off to this one on a bear hunt, and it works on deer as well!
I've heard of pouring Kool-Aid powder on stumps works......but never Clorox.![]()
where do you think piebald deer come from,![]()

Try it out on his property first to see if it works. We had a "neighbor" like that next to where we hunt and everytime he came up with some brilliant idea I would tell him "Lets go try that in your food plot or under your bow stand". He would quickly end the conversation. Hmmmm![]()
Yes I have heard of it. My cousin swears the deer will lick the stump clean. I poured some on a stump out behind my house and deer tracks are all around it and the bark is missing on some of it. Stranger things have happened.
Why would you pour a somewhat hazardous substance on a stump, the ground or what ever for wild animals to consume.![]()
