Well I went to Cabelas today and got a Remington 700 in .270. They had the combo on sale with a hard case and scope for $500 plus they had a deal if you spent $500 you got a $150 gift card and I had $250 worth of points on my Cabelas credit card so I essentially walked out with a brand new gun for $100. I may end up changing the scope out, but it actually has really good reviews on their website so I'll see how it works for me this year. Now I just need to go shoot it.

the 700 in .270 is a great gun. I have the same one. I also took advantage of the spend 500$ get a 150$ gift card, but we went alittle more than 500$. Close to 3000!

I went in and bought my gun and got the $150 gift card, they walked me out with the gun which I put in my truck and then I went right back in and spent the $150. All in all I got $775 worth of stuff for $355. I've never paid any interest on the credit card to get those points either.
My wife would have killed me if I would've spent $3000.
