how's the turkey hunting in georgia, specifically around lake lanier area?
I've never seen any around Lk Lanier. It all depends on the woods and where the development has occurred.
okay, okay... last cast, after this one.
Down here in Columbus/Cusseta area they are henned up, but gobbling their heads off. Not a very experienced turkey hunter, so I've had a little trouble killing, but it's been a blast hearing them gooble. Had one gooblin real close Sat morning and the man in green ran him off. Can you say pissed?

Private, but most of the WMA's down here have plenty of turkeys, only draw back is plenty of hunters too.

If possible, you may want to check on areas a little further southeast.
My brother and three of his friends just got back from several days of hunting private ground in the Macon area. They had a fantastic hunt.![]()

anyone know how difficult it is to get private down there or is all about the $$$ to get on
Wish I could give you an answer on price range, but I really have no idea. My brother's hunt was a friend of a friend type deal. All it cost him was non-res license fee.
