I wish they had that around here, sounds pretty fun.
how much interest would you think there would be along the eastern states??
I don't think there would be alot, at least speaking for Maine. The participation levels on standard 3-D shoots up here is pretty low and I have no reason to believe a new format would change that.
They are fun, but if the rules allow to sit at full draw waiting till they pop up, whats the point? I have seen this and I don't think it mimics actual hunting.... We used to have pop up groundhog at our shoots, rules were that you could not be a full draw, you had to See the target, pull and shoot. Also the bionic deer was fun, a steel deer with just a hole the size of the Heart, put a cape over it......fun to see the arrows expload, hit the hole, live for another round.......till there one archer standing.
As stated, it seems like there is fewer guys going to 3ds.......
we've done the bionic deer alot, minus the cape. tell ya one thing, ya learn to fix your form and shoot a whole hell of alot better in a hurry..........

It gets easier to have correct form after you lighten you wallet buying new arrows
