Papaw taught me to walk up behind the deer and nuzzle his testicles with the gun barrel. He told me if it was still alive it would move then.When I watch these people on TV walk up in front of a deer and touch it on its head I am wondering where they would go if the deer did get up.
I have seen a deer knock the gun out of someones hands when poking him in the head. Thankfully it was on safety and didnt go off. Could have been ugly. He was pretty much done but had enough to cause some trouble. Definately poke them in the rear and watch the legs.

Somewhere in Northern Ky. a guy was taking a picture after he shot the deer. He placed his rifle in the antlers, posed for the picture. Deer wakes up and takes off with a rifle still in it's antlers.This was 2 years ago and the deer or the rifle was never found.
