    Managing winter rye

Does anyone know if I can plant a winter rye and clover mix early and mow it several times over the summer? If I don't let the rye go to seed, will it stay green into winter sorta like a hayfield?
Some people are so judgemental. You can tell just by looking at 'em.--Some random meme

Re: Managing winter rye (BP in ME)

id just broadcast the rye in Sept. over the clover. Rye germinates really easy and you lessen the chance it woul go to seed.
