    Ground Blinds

I have always used hang-on stands but I thought I would try a blind for one spot. I set it up and brushed it in real good yesterday evening I am going to give it about a week before I hint it. Besides not being able to see as well as up in a tree what are your pro's and con's of a ground blind?

    Re: Ground Blinds (T Hall)

My 2 cents of why I use ground stands
In the early months there still is alot of leaves on the trees
you can get into a ground blind quitter if your close to a bedding area
In the winter it's not as cold as a tree stand
If your as fat as I am you can't clime trees anymore

    Cons
your sent is closer to the ground

    Re: Ground Blinds (goose)

I have one I use for some areas that are actually clearer on the ground than in a stand as far as shots go.

But like was said, you really have to pay attention to scent control

    Re: Ground Blinds (T Hall)

I use them fairly often. They are valuable when we have handicapped hunters with us and they are great for kids. If I have limited time in the afternoon, I will go to one of my ground blinds.
