Usually up one pitch. Try a 26 Raker OMC
3 blade won't be as smooth in the turns and stuff.
I'd let you use mine but your a bit far away.
BIG BASS
I'll throw my 27 Gade on and let ya borrow my 26 Raker, if ya want to pay shipping....
heck i hate to borrow anything thanks so much for the offer though.
I think I may just buy a used one and see what I think. You think it will pick up any top end speed? also what kind of differences will there be with the handling?
Ever tried a 25P Tempest plus with the plugs on that hull?
no not yet bought the bought in jan 2007 and it had the renegade 25 on it and I have never fooled with any other props. but now I am wanting too.
Kind of like to see some numbers your running now before tossing out prop ideas. Prop to pad distance, RPM's, water pressure etc. A Raker will be a bit slower out of the hole but once it breaks over and spins up will be faster on top end. A gade will give more stern lift and handle better in a river/creek environment. Which ever size gade you have on now then the Raker would be one size up in pitch. Gades are odd size 23,25 etc Rakers are even, 24,26 and take a different thrust washer. A 24 P raker would be a good all around choice on your motor with it set at 3.25" below pad.
yeah I have got to get a prop to pad measurement this weekend. I can tell you I am turning 5700ish with that 25 renegade and my motor is evidently real low because running wide open i am getting 40 psi on my gauge and I am running 68-69 gps
to much water pressure i think
Get your measurement but I'd say you could come up some, Just need to watch those RPM's you are right in the good zone.
A 24 taker will give you too many rpms. I have tried a lot of 3 blade props on my pII 200 combo and they all sucked. I'm running a 25 trophy now but with the fresh rebuild I really need a 26. A 26 original raker six be the best place to start unless you can try a 25 fury though my combo didn't like it.
