what prop do you think?

got a 1994 tidecraft 17ft with 1994 150 evinrude.

It is 2 1/2 inch below pad, no jackplate

has a Raker 14 1/2 x 24 prop

good hole shot
62 mph top end

but SUCKS the gas and RPM pushing 5000 at 62 mph

Is there a prop for boat that would do better on gas and would still do good fishing?

Would adding a jackplate help at all?

adding a jackplate will always to help in my opinion

sounds like it's doing pretty good...low 60's for a 150 is bout where alot of em are...of course a jackplate would get ya a little more speed

62 on the speedo or 62 gps? If it's gps better leave it alone.
