    New forum member

I'm not new to bass boats, ran my father's and stepfather's for years, finally bought my own. Just found this site today. I guess this is where you introduce yourself. From what I've seen this is an excellent site, full of info. I have an '06 188VS w/ a Yammie 150 V-max. Bone stock right now, but I plan on a keel guard and hyd. jack plate in the near future. Glad to be here!

Welcome aboard. Do not know if you need the the hydraulic JP but if it is a personal thing then go for it. I am on my second bass boat and have had manual plates on both. Once set up they do not need changing in my opinion so a quality manual plate is the thing for me. Do you have hydraulic steering?? If not I would put my money there way ahead of a hydraulic plate Get a picture posted of the new rig to.
