    coverting a ficht power head to a carb power head

    i have a 2000 200hp ficht that blown broken block i was told that i could put a carb 90 degree looper 225 hp 1996 complete power head on this motor and do away with fuel injection has any one did this before i was told it would bolt up and work trying to find someone that has done this before trying it p.s would the exhaust housing be the same

    The only possible difference would be the adapter plate that I can think of. Everything else should go right on. I'll do some digging unless Seahorse knows off the top of his head and posts up.

    Ask the person who told you it would work. Lot's of variables and would the motor cover fit?

    No solid data for you but I was told by a couple folks this was an option for me. Chattanooga Fishing Forum User wrenchin2 can shed some light. I have a FICHT too.
